Group gives gov’t 3-day ultimatum to pay GETFund debts or…

Pressure group, Progressive Nationalist Forum has given the government a three-day ultimatum to pay up monies owed GETFUND or face a court action.

This follows a 30-day period the Forum gave the Attorney General, Finance Minister and the President to, as a matter of urgency, make the appropriate payment to the Fund.

The group’s Leader Richard Nyamah told XYZ News that it is considering legal action to save a lot of schools from closing down especially in the regions of northern Ghana.

“These monies have been paid into the consolidated fund every month and yet the government has diverted these monies into areas they feel are more important than education like GYEEDA”.

“The government has no right, when the law says A that is the law, so if you are a disloyal government we would not allow you.

“The law says pay the money into the GETFund for the education for our children…are you [Government] telling me that the RLG and Zoomlion are better than the Ghanaian children”.
