Heads must roll at “bogus” EC – Kofi Jumah

Former Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Kofi Jumah, claims the country has never conducted clean polls, whiles the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has a well-oiled election rigging machine which aids them in winning general elections.

The former MP further revealed that with the help of certain elements at the Electoral Commission of Ghana, the NDC is able to subvert the will of Ghanaians.

Kofi Jumah claims he has proof to show some members of Cabinet in the erstwhile Mills administration gave tacit consent to the registration of Togolese and other foreign nationals, who voted in the 2012 general elections.

“…the Electoral Commission is bogus and the whole process of election is bogus. In this case, officials of government were even part of it. I have names, I have pictures and videos and Adakabre, I want you to dare me,” Kofi Jumah told the host of ‘Me Man Nti’ on NEAT FM.

The former Asokwa law maker revealed that he commissioned undercover agents to cover the conspiracy on tape, which numbers about twelve. He was however saddened by the fact that the leadership of his party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) did not take keen interest in the matter.

He made this claims during a panel discussion in the studios of NEAT FM.

Mr Jumah also alleged that camps of foreign nationals were created all over the country, including Drobu, in the Jaman South Constituency of the Brong Ahafo Region but the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Yaw Maama Afful told NEAT FM, in telephone interview that the camp was created for Ivorian nationals, who were displaced by the 2011 conflict that occurred in Cote D’ivoire.

Hon Afful, however, admitted that some of the refugees attempted to register but were prevented from doing so.
