C/R Methodist schools end familiarisation tour

The Central Regional Manager of Methodist schools, Madam Macaiver Ivy Quaye, has ended her familiarisation tour of Methodist schools in Asikuman-Odoben-Brakwa Distric.

The basic schools visited in the Brakwa Circuit of the Methodist Church, Ghana, included Brakwa, Amanfopon, Kokoso, Fasuansa, Asantem and Jamra.

Madam Quaye advised the teachers to lift high the image of the teaching profession and use the syllabus as prescribed by the Ghana Education Service.

On her rounds to other schools in the region, she observed that some of the teachers deprived the pupils of knowledge in other subjects and concentrate only on the teaching of Mathematics and English the whole day.

She reminded the teachers that the BECE questions were based on the syllabus used in all schools in the country and there was no discrimination between deprived community schools and urban schools.
