Pray for Mahama on his birthday – Deputy Minister

Murtala Mohammed, a deputy minister of information today called on Ghanaians to pray for President Dr. John Dramani Mahama, as he celebrates his fifty-five birthday.

He said Ghanaians should be interested in the well being of the President so that he can have the strength to undertake all the promises in the manifesto of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“…So we all need to pray for him. You don’t necessarily have to be NDC before you can pray for your Excellency the President. He is the President of the Republic of Ghana and I think that his health, his strength is significant. You can pray for him and when it is time for elections in 2016; you come out to contest him, why not?” the Deputy Minister opined.

President John Mahama was born on the 29th November, 1958 and has been President of Ghana since July 2012.

A communication expert, historian, and writer, Mahama was a Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2009 and Minister of Communications from 1998 to 2001.

At the moment, President Mahama is on a nationwide working tour and is scheduled to cut the sod for expansion works at the Takoradi Harbour.
