Mahama orders release of funds for Volta Varsity

President John Mahama has directed the Finance Ministry to immediately release the government’s counterpart funding of the University of Health and Allied Sciences.

This is to facilitate the speedy completion of ongoing projects at the campuses of the university.

According to him, he feels proud that the initial challenges that confronted the construction of the university have been surmounted.

The University of Health and Allied Sciences which is expected to operate within three different campuses in the Volta Region was established by late President Mills.

Speaking at the main campus of the university as part of his two-day working tour to the Volta Region, the president said he is confident that work at the university campuses will be completed in no time.
