Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana angry with BNI

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana is angry with the Bureau of National Investigations over the detention of the pharmacist at the Goaso Municipal Hospital.

Agyeman Badu was arrested by the BNI last week for selling blacklisted drugs imported by the Tobinco Pharmaceuticals.

He was released on Monday after four days in detention.

But the Pharmaceutical Society wants the National Security Council, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Interior to probe his detention.

President James Ohemeng Kyei in an interview with XYZ News said Mr. Badu’s rights have been violated.

“He has been released but we are not happy from the way he was handled by the BNI. From Friday to Monday what has he done has he committed murder?”
