Ashaiman to confirm Ibrahim Baidoo as MCE

The Ashaiman Municipal Assembly would sit today for the confirmation of Mr Ibrahim Baidoo, nominated by President John Dramani Mahama, as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

The programme, which comes off at 0800 hours, is being keenly awaited, by most of the inhabitants of Ashaiman.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency, Mr Abdulai Munkaila, Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Ashaiman, described Mr Baidoo, as a hard worker within the Assembly, who deserved to be honoured.

“Someone who has served in almost all the committees at the assembly level and performed well would definitely do well as the Municipal Chief Executive.

Nii Annang Adzor, Ashaiman Regent, said: “We as traditional leaders only want peace. We have advised the Assembly Members and we want the best from them.” In accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution, President Mahama, nominated Mr Baidoo as MCE, in September.
