A youth group in the Bawku West District known as Friends of Cletus Avoka (FOCA) has congratulated Mr. Simon Ayande Agbango, the newly-elected District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bawku West.
In a statement jointly signed by its executives, Mr Peter Atibilla Abaan and Mr Alaldago James, the group expressed its appreciation to President John Mahama for the appointment of Mr Agbango, and his subsequent confirmation by members of the Assembly.
“We as youth of the Bawku-West District are grateful to the President for putting his ears on the ground and appointing the people’s choice as DCE” The group added that Mr Agbango’s appointment gave hope to all hardworking individuals of the party at the grassroots, , saying “he not only used his energies, but committed his hard earned resources to the party and the development of the area”.
This, the group said, was an indication that the efforts of all other persons would be recognized in the future.
“We the youth and people of Bawku-West pledge our unflinching support to President Mahama, Member of Parliament, Cletus Avoka and Mr Agbango, to help build and carry out chapter two of the government’s agenda to uplift the quality of lives of Ghanaians, and the people of the Bawku West…”
