Thus Sayest The Lord Ministry donates to orphanages

Thus Sayest The Lord Ministry has donated cash of Ghc5,000 and items worth Ghc4,000 to Potters Village Orphanage in Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.

The Ministry, which is under the leadership of Prophet Dr Akwasi Agyeman Prempeh, also paid an outstanding electricity bill of Ghc800.00 to the orphanage, to enable the facility to enjoy power supply, which was disconnected several months ago.

Prophet Prempeh, also the General Overseer of the Springs of Joy Ministry International, also donated goods valued at Ghc500.00 and cash of Ghc1,000.00 to Teshie Orphanage also in Accra.

He urged Christians to care for orphans and the vulnerable in the society in emulation of the life of Jesus Christ who during his earthly ministry was able to identify himself with the poor and the needy.

He said: “It is our responsibility as Christians to reach out to orphans.”

Prophet Prempeh advised the children to be focused and submit to authority.

They should also study hard in order to have a brighter future.

Dr Jane Irina Adu, Founder and President of Potters village expressed her gratitude to the Ministry for putting a smile on the faces of the orphans.

She said the orphanage, which started in 1995, is taking care of 115 children.

Dr Adu said the orphanage operates in rented dilapidated premises and appealed to benevolent organisations to give the home a suitable shelter.

She said feeding the orphans is also a problem and appealed to public-spirited individuals and organisations to help ease the burden.

Mrs Janet Anyeley Parker, Founder of the Teshie Orphanage also expressed gratitude to the ministry for the kind gesture.

The orphanage is catering for 25 children.
