Evangelist before court for defilement

An Accra magistrate court has granted bail in the sum of GHc1,600 to Michael Ashrifi, a 40-year-old Evangelist and a landlord, for allegedly defiling an eight and five-years-old girls at la, a suburb of Accra.

He pleaded not guilty and would reappear on October 24.

According to the prosecution, Ashrifi’s victims were daughters of his tenant.

The accused was arrested in his hide-out in Accra on September 3.
