CLOGSAG strike to delay public sector salaries for October

Civil servants and government workers will likely not receive their salaries for October due to the ongoing strike by the civil and local government staff association of Ghana.

This is because the officials responsible for processing salaries for the workers are also part of the striking group.

But CLOGSAG said its members aren’t troubled about the situation.

The Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the group, Samuel Collinson in an interview with XYZ News said that the group is prepared to face the consequences of its industrial action.

“We are very much prepared for it even if they don’t pay us, it is not only CLOGSAG members [it would affect], it will affect the entire country”.

Mr. Collinson added that “if we don’t do it now we can never do it again”.
