DCE sues “Free Press”

Mr Andrew Nyarko Adu, District Chief Executive for Akwapim South, has filed a writ at an Accra High Court seeking for an order of perpetual injunction to restrain the “Free Press”, an Accra weekly from publishing further insulting material that may tarnish his reputation. The plaintiff, Mr Adu, prayed the court to restrain the Defendants including their servants and agents, from their “diabolical publicity, which were mere speculations and unfounded allegations.” The Defendants are the Publisher of the “Free Press”, Tommark Advertising Services; Mr Frank Boahene, Editor of the paper; Mr David Tamakloe and Mr Cecil Mensah, both reporters of the paper.
