Jailed NPP boys, politically motivated – Youth organizer

An aspiring national Youth Organizer of the NPP, Pius Hadzide, has said the 5 young men of the NPP who were sentenced by a Tamale High Court was politically motivated.

He says the sentence was hurriedly passed prior to the election petition verdict to create a state of insecurity in the Northern region.

Speaking to XYZ News, he said he was more worried about the posturing of the NPP in defending the members of the party.

He is, therefore, calling on the party to dispatch a high profile legal representation to begin an appeal process to secure the freedom of the convicts.
