Paul Afoko begs Sir John: Don’t “kill” Akufo-Addo

For those rooting for Nana Akufo-Addo to lead the party in 2016, they have been described as assassins by Mr. Paul Afoko.

Mr. Afoko launched this blistering attack on Okay FM when he was asked to give his take on the early calls by some executives for Nana Akufo-Addo to lead them.

According to him, the 2012 presidential aspirant for the NPP should be allowed to fully enjoy his sabbatical leave without any distractions.

He explains that Nana Akufo-Addo has made it clear that he wants to stay away from politics for now and seek the face of God before announcing his intentions in the near future.

This message in Mr. Afoko’s view should have deterred Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie also known as Sir John, from staging a campaign for his premature return.

Mr. Afoko noted that such moves were deliberate attempts to “kill” Nana Akufo-Addo considering how his activeness in the party has worn him out.

“It looks like they want to “kill” Nana Addo by making him do something against his will. How many of them have been able to do what Nana Addo has done? Apart from Bawumia, Nana Addo is the only person who has toured the whole country during our general elections…It is like Nana Akufo-Addo telling them he has a headache and instead of them giving him medicine to cure his illness, they are using a hammer on his head,” he said.
