My free SHS will surely come to pass – Akufo-Addo

The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo, has given the strongest indication that he is likely to return from his political hiatus and lead the party for the third time.

The twice defeated presidential candidate at a thanksgiving service at the Church of Pentecost in Newtown, Accra, called on Ghanaians to be patient and wait for his free secondary education pledge adding that it will surely come to pass.

“We are not struggling to come to power and become arrogant; we want to win power and work for the development of this country.

“As for NPP we are known for our commitment to education, no matter what the time for free secondary education will surely come to pass,” Nana Addo said.

The former Attorney General also called on members of the party to remain calm and shun acts that could plunge the country into violence.

Nana Akufo-Addo who’s petition to challenge the validity of President Mahama was recently dismissed by the Supreme Court has stated that he wants to take some time off politics and later communicate his political future to Ghanaians.

Several executives of the NPP have openly called on the leadership of the party to allow Nana Akufo-Addo lead the party for the 2016 elections.
