Atuguba misled Ghanaians, Akufo-Addo

Director of Operations for the Young Patriots, Hopeson Adorye, claims if Justice William Atuguba had read correctly that Justice Baffoe-Bonnie was in support of the petitioners’ claim of voting without biometric verification on the day of the verdict, Nana Akufo-Addo would have considered going for a review.

He argues that the judgment read by Justice William Atuguba when the Supreme Court ruled on the election petition case was flawed and contradicts itself after Justice Baffoe-Bonnie, who was initially said to have kicked against the claim of voting without biometric verification, is now in support of the petitioners’ claim.

Speaking on OkayFM, he wondered how Justice Atuguba, who personally wrote what he read out, could make such a monumental error and mislead the whole world with his judgement.

“What can Ghanaians say to the Presiding judge, Justice William Atuguba, for his judgment; to me, he has misled the whole world and that is what we should know…I’m not surprised that over-voting was recorded in the 2012 elections because even the final ruling by the judges recorded a case of over-voting,” he said.
