Akufo-Addo is a real statesman – T.B. Joshua

Renowned Nigerian Prophet, T.B. Joshua has praised Ghana’s main opposition Leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for gracefully conceding after the country’s Supreme Court affirmed President John Mahama as the “validly elected” President of Ghana.

Preaching at his church’s headquarters in Nigeria on Sunday, September 1, 2013, Prophet T.B. Joshua said “I salute Nana Akufo-Addo” for conceding after the verdict.

He said Africa would be a peaceful continent if many African leaders emulated Nana Addo Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s example.

The 2012 presidential candidate, his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and their party’s Chairman Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, petitioned the Supreme Court against the presidential results as declared by the country’s Electoral Commission.

They argued that several malpractices and irregularities robbed Nana Akufo-Addo of victory.

The apex court, by a majority decision however upheld President Mahama’s election.

T.B. Joshua prophesied the previous Sunday that Ghana would not be plunged into war the country’s Supreme Court pronounced the final verdict on the petition.

He, therefore, urged calm among anxious Ghanaians in that regard.
