We’re are disappointed in the ruling – NPP Supporters

There was disappointment and grief at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters, when the verdict of the 2012 presidential petition was read by Justice William Atuguba.

The dismissed verdict sent shock waves among the supporters resulting in tears.

Mr Solomon Adjajah, Member of the NPP Communications Team, expressed disappointment with the verdict and called for peace among members and urged them to be hopeful.

He asked whether it was worthwhile for the party to go to court.

Mr Moses Abor, Assemblyman for Kokomlemle East, said he was disappointed with the ruling.

“We would have appreciated it more if we had been told how the Justices voted numerically for each party instead of what Justice Atuguba did,” he said.

Party leaders who were at the party headquarters refused to comment on the verdict with the explanation that the Executives would come out with the official stand of the party.

Chief Superintendent Nuhu Jango, Nima Divisional Police Commander, expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the party supporters had conducted themselves after the declaration of the ruling.
