4-year-old boy reports mother to police

A four-year-old boy at Konongo Odumase on Saturday shocked people in his household when he walked to the police station to call for the arrest of his mother.

Kwame Isaac was incensed when his mother, Maa Abena, 31, thrashed him for refusing to obey a simple rule.

The mother was frying fish and Isaac was standing very close to the fire, which posed danger to him.

Maa Abena therefore told Isaac to leave the scene, but the young boy refused, forcing his mother to beat him.

The young lad, who seemed to know his rights, caused a stir, as he walked for about 400 meters from his house to the police station to lodge a complaint.

An eyewitness, who gave his name as Appiah told Ali Baba of Kessben FM that the boy’s complaint was taken by the police.

Isaac then led a policeman to his house to invite his mother, Maa Abena, to the police station to give her side of the story.

Maa Abena who also confirmed the incident on Breaking News aired on Kessben FM, said she was utterly shocked about her child’s behaviour.

She said she beat Isaac when he refused to respond to her order to leave in order not to be hurt by the fire.

Maa Abena said after the beating, Isaac, in tears, warned that he would report her behaviour to a certain policeman called CK, but she did not take the boy’s threat serious.

She noted that she was utterly shocked to the marrow when she saw her son coming towards her in the company of a policeman.

Maa Abena said she was preparing to visit the police station to respond to the charges leveled against her by Isaac.
