Minister directs 30 MMDCEs to hand over

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Akwasi Oppong Ofosu has released a list of Metropolis, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) who have been asked to vacate their post.

A statement signed by the sector minister on Sunday said the affected MMDCEs are those who have not been re-nominated and have been directed to hand over to their respective Regional Ministers with immediate effect.

They are:

Ashanti Region:

1. Anthony Nyame – Atwima Kwanwoma

2. Mrs Theresa Adomako Tawiah – Atwima-Mponua

3. Daniel Okyeamang Apau – Mampong Municipal

4. Robert Bennett Forkuo – Amansie Central

5. Martha Bruckner – Ejura Sekyedumasi

6. Noah Asante Manu – Bekwai Municpal

Brong Ahafo Region

1. Stephen Lord Oppong – Berekum Municipal

2. J. Atttah-Bediako – Jaman South

3. Alhassan Seidu Harrison – Kintampo North Municpal

4. Yaw Osei Adjei – Wenchi Municipal

Central Region

1. Anthony Egyir Aikins – Cape Coast Metropolitan

2. Peter Kofi Osei-Ashia – Upper Denkyira East

Great Accra Region

1. Rex Daniel Wusah – Dangme East

2. Numo Adinortey Addison – Ashaiman Municipal

3. Robert Kempes Ofosu-Ware – Tema Metropolitan

4. Ebenezer Nii Armah Tackie – Ga West

Northern Region:

1. Alhaji Haruna Friday – Tamale Metropolitan

2. Abdul-Wahab Umar – Zabzugu

3. Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu – Bole

4. Issifu Salifu Be-Awuribe – Central Gonja

Upper East Region:

1. Emmanuel Andena – Kasena-Nankan East Municipal

2. Musah Abdulai – Bawku Municipal

3. Clement Akugre – bongo

Upper West Region

1. Bernard Kofi Puozuing – Jirapa

2. Clement Benin – Lambussie Karni

3. Duogo Yakubu – Wa Municipal

Volta Region

1. Nana Kumesy Bonsy – Jasikan

2. Seth Frank Alifui – kadjebi

3. Alhaji Buboy Dzinadu – Central Tongu

4. Daniel K. Amelorku – South Tongu

Western Region
