IGP: More arsonists will soon be arrested

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Alhassan says some more arson suspects will soon be arrested in connection with the recent market fires ravaging the country.

There’s been close to a dozen market fires since the beginning of this year.

The fires have led to the destruction of property and devastation of businesses.

Recent among the market fires are the CMB and Pedestrian shopping mall disasters.

The IGP says the police are making progress in collaboration with other security agencies in ensuring that the arsonists are brought to book.

“As we speak we are making progress as a result of some leads that we have towards making some arrests so we want to assure the people of Ghana that we’ll get to the bottom of these market fires,” he assured.
