President Mills served till death – Deegbe

Former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Reverend Dr. Fred Deegbe, has said that late President Mills served Ghanaians till death.

According to him, the late president was humane and connected with the plight of the ordinary Ghanaian that he worked till death.

Dr. Deegbe said these qualities that President Mills exhibited should inspire parents to mentor their children in the fear of God.

He said: “The late president learnt some of these values which he never abandoned no matter where he was”.

Dr. Deegbe further said: “Some of us keep crying about how parents are treating their children leaving them to do whatever they want”.

He was speaking at a special coral concert held at the National Theatre in Accra on Sunday July 21, 2013 to mark the 69th birthday of President Mills.

The concert was also part of several activities lined up to commemorate the death of the president which occurred on July 24, 2012. President John Dramani Mahama was among hundreds of dignitaries who attended the concert.
