Prof. Mills was a son of God – Nii Lantey Vanderpuye

Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency and a former presidential staffer, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, has described the late President John Evans Atta Mills as a son of God.

“Prof. Mills was a peace maker so I believe seriously he is a son of God.” In an interview on TV3’s News 360, the former sportscaster asserted that the tenacity and tolerance of the late president makes him an unparallel figure in the politics of Ghana.

“…when it comes to love for this country, there is no one who can be compared to Prof. Mills and I wonder whether there will ever be one,” he emphasized over the weekend, after a paper was read in Parliament, paying tribute to the late president ahead of the first anniversary of his death.

Prof. Atta Mills, who was the third president of the Fourth Republic, became the first president of Ghana to have passed on while in office after his untimely demise on July 24, 2012.
