Ghana’s economy is not troubled – Gov’t

A deputy Minister for Information, Murtala Mohammed, has stated that the economy is not troubled as being suggested by members of the opposition New Patriotic Party.

The deputy Information Minister added that President Mahama is expected to meet the economic management team on Monday over the performance of the economy in the last few months.

The president, according to Murtala Mohammed, is impressed with the various measures being introduced by the team to address the economic challenges facing the economy.

Monday’s meeting come in the wake of numerous concerns about the performance of the economy especially by the opposition NPP.

However, addressing the media at the Flagstaff House on Monday July 15, Murtala Mohammed stated that the economy is not troubled and is in good shape.
