Mr Franklin Anku, La-Nkwantanang Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), at the weekend donated bags of rice and sugar valued at GH¢3,420.00 to the various mosques in the municipality towards the Ramadan.
The gift was distributed to Damfa, Oyarifa, Adenta West, Pantang, Madina Estate, Madina West and Madina Central Mosques.
Mr Anku asked Allah to guide the Moslems to sail through the fasting successfully. He appealed to them to pray for peace and the development of the country.
The Chief Imam of Madina Central Mosque, Abdala Shuib and the Deputy Chief Imam Salihu Sasa thanked the MCE for the donation and prayed that Allah should bless the assembly and the government.
They also prayed for the peaceful outcome of the 2012 election petition at the Supreme Court.
