A founder-member of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe says the lethargic and indifferent posture of the party’s leadership regarding intolerance against dissenting members could spell doom for the NPP.
Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe also warns of adverse consequences for the NPP if intolerance in the party is not reined in by the leadership.
His comments come in the wake of past and present attacks on party Stalwarts including himself, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey, Mr. Kwame Pianim and Dr. Arthur Kennedy for various dissenting views.
He told XYZ Breakfast Show host Moro Awudu on Friday July 12, 2013 that the heightening level of intolerance in the party will eventually lead to the “destruction” of the NPP.
“To me what is most disturbing is that these things are done and the leadership says nothing and I think it is in the same vein that Dr. Wereko-Brobbey is so annoyed because he sees others behaving in a certain way and leadership says nothing, he comes out to talk and he’s attacked”, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe bemoaned.
He warned that: “If we are not careful, intolerance will lead our great party to destruction”.
