Teacher, 55, raped

A 55-year-old Kintampo based female professional teacher (name withheld) has been raped leaving her in serious pains and is currently on admission at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital Emergency Unit.

The victim, who teaches at a local Primary School, was raped on her farm by a yet-to-be identified man, believed to be in his early 30s, on Monday morning.

DAILY GUIDE was told by residents that the woman had gone to the farm to harvest foodstuffs to feed her nursing daughter.

According to the victim, she got to the farm around 9:00am on Monday because her school had been made an examination centre for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) School was, therefore, not in session, she explained.

She told the police that a few minutes after she got to the farm, the young man came from nowhere and pounced on her, threatening to kill her if she did not give in to his demands of having sex with her right on the farm.

She said she initially struggled with the rapist for a while but the latter managed to overpower her and forcibly had sex with her through both the genital organ and the anus causing extensive damage to both her womanhood and anus.

The rapist, after subjecting the old woman to several rounds of unprotected and rough sex, took to his heels leaving his cell phone behind.

The cell phone is presently in the custody of the Kintampo police helping in their investigations to trace the suspect.

DAILY GUIDE’S own investigations revealed that the last number the rapist called on his cell phone was the victim’s biological sister. The paper further uncovered that the suspect and the victim’s sister had been at loggerheads in for quite sometime now.
