Late Ford Kamel to be immortalised through charity foundation

The inauguration of a charity foundation to immortalise the former Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel, is in the offing.

Daughter of the late minister, Xandria Kamel, tells Ultimate Radio’s Bernard Buachi that her father was a philanthropist who was moved by the plight of the underprivileged as well as brilliant students who could not afford to continue their education.

She says the Foundation, Kamel for Hope Foundation, will operate in all ten regions in the country, offering philanthropic services to as many people as it can.

Though Xandria could not specify a date for the inauguration, she said it would be inaugurated in about a month.

She expects dignitaries including the First Lady, Lordina Mahama; the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur; Information Minister, Mahama Ayariga among others.

The late Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel, died last Christmas following a short illness described by many as mysterious.
