Ghana set to receive UN Food and Agriculture Organization Award

Ghana is set to receive an award from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization at a ceremony Today in Rome, Italy.

The award is for her progress in achieving the MDG on decreasing hunger and under nourishment.

Ghana is joining seventeen other countries who have met the target of cutting the percentage of People in their population suffering from hunger from 1990 to 2012.

President John Mahama commented on the award in his lecture at the Chatham house in London.

He said this award has come as a result of perseverance.
