Fire burns two-year-old boy to death at Nungua

A two-year-old baby was burnt to death Sunday morning after fire gutted the wooden structure in which the family resides at Nungua.

The parents of the baby boy who were also sleeping at the time the fire started managed to escape, but without the child.

They sustained very serious injuries and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Assembly man of the area, Joseph Okele told Joy News the incident occurred at about 4am Sunday.

He said the intensity of the blaze made it impossible for anyone to save the baby who has since been buried.
