Assembly brings relief to disaster victims

The Atwima-Mponua District Assembly has presented roofing materials to support the reconstruction of classroom blocks and houses in 17 communities, destroyed by recent rainstorms.

These were made up of 84 bundles of roofing sheets and an equal number of boxes of roofing nails.

Betinko, Abofrem, Kwame-Dwaa, Sreso, Anyinamso-Number-Two, Nkruma, Pasro, Debrakrom, Seseko, Adiembra, Bontomuruso and Tanokrom, are among the beneficiaries.

Madam Theresa Adomako Tawiah made the presentation at a ceremony held at Nyinahin, the District Capital.

She urged the people to plant trees to serve as windbreaks, to prevent the recurrence of such disasters.
