B/A police to prosecute 3 over death of Indian woman

Police in the Brong Ahafo Region are set to prosecute three suspected armed robbers charged with the murder of a 27-year-old Indian woman.

Rajeph Marale Dhalan was killed in an alleged robbery attack at Techiman.

Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander DCOP Robert Ayalingo told Joy News the suspects will be arraigned on Friday.

He said a postmortem has been done on the body and released to the family of the deceased.

DCOP hinted that though the police had some good evidence to prosecute the suspects, they are still investigating the matter.

This will be the second Indian killed in the area this month alone.

On May 10, Duapa FM, a radio station in the Techiman district, reported that a young man believed to be in his thirties has been nabbed by the Techiman Police for killing an Indian man whose name was given only as Rajes.

The victim is said to be owner of Maryghan-Ghana Ltd, a company that deals in cashew purchasing.

According to the Duapa FM’s report, two suspects attacked the Indian man at his residence behind the company and shot him in the fore-head, but while escaping from the scene, one of the suspects broke his knee, fell and was apprehended.

Mr. Rajes, according to the report, was confirmed dead a day after he was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital.
