A member of the governments Communication team, Samuel George Nartey, has said Tsatsu, which literally means ‘Ant’ in Ga, is now mightier than the big elephant, represented by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as a star witness in his cross-examination of the ongoing 2012 election petition hearing.
“There is this story of the ant and the elephant which I read. The ant is seen as the wisest animal in the animal kingdom and the smallest as well while the elephant is the biggest among all the animals in the kingdom, but at the end of the day, the ant defeated the elephant, and that is what is going on in court. In Ga, if you say Tsatsu, it’s the red ant and very dangerous,” he explained.
Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM; the NDC man says he can’t wait to see counsel for the petitioners, Philip Addison cross-examining NDC’s General Secretary who has expressed his readiness to face the NPP in the witness box.
“General Mosquito will kick the stands; he will be led to give evidence in chief by Tony Lithur and Tsatsu Tsikata. Dr. Afari Gyan will also be led to give his evidence as well by Quarshie-Idun; these two gentlemen will be cross-examined by Philip Addison then we will see if Addison will be kneeling down to talk to them or ask his questions.
“…we will realize whether Addison wouldn’t ask the same questions over and over again as the NPP claims counsels of the respondents are doing. We will all see the style of cross-examination Mr. Addison will adopt when he starts his cross examination,” he said.
