Assemblies of God pastor awarded doctorate from USA

A senior pastor of the Assemblies of God Church has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy title from the Nearbridge University in USA for his study in Divinity.

It follows the successful completion of a three-year doctorate degree course at the Nearbridge University by Rev. Duncan Nuako, who is the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Assemblies of God Church at Dadiesoaba in Kumasi.

At a colourful ceremony over the weekend, Rev. Dr. Elijah Anaa Zut-Zagisi, representative of the International Association of Universities and Bible Colleges, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Minister of God for his commitment to seek further knowledge in the teachings of God’s word.

He, however, urged Rev. Dr. Duncan Nuakoh to present himself as the ambassador of God who should not be ashamed to proclaim the word to the rest of the world.

Rev. Dr. Anaa admonished the new Doctor of Divinity not to lean on his own understanding, but acknowledge his maker always.

“You will be counted for the righteous of God by faith in Christ to attain His resurrection power by pressing towards the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus,” he reminded him.

Rev. Dr. Anaa charged him to teach and preach precisely what he knows and understands as the truth of God in order to set free the captives from Satan, while pursuing truth always.

In his acceptance address, Rev. Dr. Nuakoh expressed his appreciation to the university, his family and church members for their support, both physical and spiritual.

He asked the church members to support in him in his call to do God’s work, as they work diligently to promote the word of God.

The Assemblies of God pastor asked his colleague Ministers of the Gospel to commit themselves to researching into the word of God to bring out the purpose of the Almighty to the world.

He also entreated them to have spiritual fathers who would guide, mentor and nurture them in their God-given talent and calling.
