Wuaku Commission Suspends Sittings Indefinitely

Sittings of the Wuaku Commission have been suspended until further notice. The decision follows the sudden death of the counsel for the commission, which is investigating the recent Dagbon conflict. The counsel, George Owoo, died last Friday after a short illness. Government has announced that it is looking for a new counsel for the commission as soon as possible.

The Commission took a seven-day break last week and was scheduled to resume sitting last week and submit its report by the end of August. It was during the break that Mr Owoo died.
