Pharmacists to strike April 8

Pharmacists will go on strike on April 8 their salaries are not reviewed.

They are the latest section of government workers to raise their concern is the Government Hospital and Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA).

GHOSPA have threatened to withdraw their services effective April 8, if guidelines on their market premium are not implemented immediately.

Their decision comes after the Ghana Medical Association and the University Teachers Association of Ghana simultaneously threatened to withdraw their services by next week if promises made them are not addressed.

GHOPSA members have already cut the time they work by working from 8am to 5pm and have also refused to work on weekends and holidays to express their displeasure.
