Jaman South District Assembly organises workshop for staff

Mr Julius Atta Bediako, Jaman South District Chief Executive has called for periodic in-service training for staff of the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to improve on their performance.

Addressing the closing session of a week-long capacity building workshop for staff of the Assembly, he urged them to endeavour to be transparent, proactive and accountable in their activities.

The workshop was jointly organised with Devtplan Consult for revenue collectors, area council members, stenographers and tender committee members of the assembly at Drobo.

The 40 participants were trained in revenue mobilisation and collection strategies, roles and responsibilities, minutes and proposal writing, filing and record keeping, procurement and contract management.

Mr Abdul-Ghaffer Adam, Chief executive Officer of Devtplan Consult said the District had the potential to increase the internally-generated-revenue base.
