The Financial Division of the Accra Fast Track High Court has adjourned to March 5, the criminal case against Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.
The court, presided over by Justice Ajet-Nassam, adjourned the case due to the breakdown of the court’s recording machine.
Mr. Woyome is facing two counts of defrauding by false pretense and causing financial loss to the state after receiving judgement debt of 51 million cedis.
The case has been adjourned for six consecutive times because the Prosecution had failed to produce witnesses.
The former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Vanlare Dosoo, according to Citi News reporter, Rabiu Alhassan, was present in court.
He also reported that the Attorney General and Solicitor General were both in court.
Four prosecution witnesses have so far testified in the case including the Deputy Head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs. Mangowa Ghanney and a former Minister of Finance, Yaw Osafo-Marfo.
The rest are former Deputy Minister of Finance, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and Head of Aid and Debt Unit at the Ministry of Finance And Economic Planning, Yvonne Quansah.
