Suit against minority boycott is very logical – Amaliba

Lawyer for the three Ghanaians who have sued the minority for boycotting some activities in parliament has dismissed claims that the suit lacks foundation and logic.

The three individuals, including cattle herder Somailla Bilebiel filed their suit against the entire 123 minority MPs on Tuesday.

But the minority leader has described the suit as laughable and baseless.

Speaking to XYZ News, Abraham Amaliba said the minority will have to prove to the court if the suit lacks basis as they claim.

He also dismissed suggestions that MPs cannot be sued.

“Their attitude does not portray that they are doing the work of Parliament and so based on this the plaintiffs are of the view that it is unconstitutional,” Amaliba said.
