Thieves raid Tamale affordable housing project

Reports reaching Citi News from Tamale indicate that thieves have raided the abandoned affordable housing project located at Wamale, a suburb of Tamale in the northern region.

According to eyewitnesses, the alleged thieves have succeeded in moving away with iron rods and other building materials meant for the completion of the project started by the previous NPP administration.

Some concerned citizens on Monday dawn, impounded a KIA truck with registration number AS2363Y whose occupants abandoned it and took to their heels.

Harunah Abubakari Sadique of Tamale based North Star Radio, was at the Tamale Police Station confirmed the incident and said the vehicle was in police custody.

He said the police have since mounted search for the occupants of the said KIA truck.
