Assist us in re-arresting jail breakers – Tema Police

The Tema Police is appealing to the general public to assist them in efforts to re-arrest three jail breakers.

The police stated that they have intensified their search for three prisoners who broke jail last Saturday at the Tema fishing Habour Police Station.

In an interview with Citi FM, P.R.O for the Tema Police Command, Corporal Joseph Barabu indicated: “our investigators have been deployed to look for these people.”

He called on the general public to assist the police in the arrest of the jail breakers or any other criminal.

“So far we have not had any information from the general public, but we are still entreating them to assist as arrest these criminals and other criminals that they may have information about” he said.

According to him, “the police reward system is still in force” ranging from GHC 200 to GHC 20,000 to anybody who would give the police information on the jail breakers or any another criminal.

“We want to assure the General public that preventive measures are already in place to ensure that this anomaly does not happen again” he added.
