Unemployed in court for defilement

Kwame Frimpong, unemployed, invited a 13-year-old girl into his room for conversation and later defiled her, the Kade District Magistrate’s court has been told.

Police Chief Inspector D. P. Nartey, prosecuting said on 4thFebruary that Frimpong invited the girl for a conversation in his room.

In the course of the conversation Frimpong requested the girl to allow him to have sexual intercourse with her but she declined.

The prosecutor said Frimpong then dragged the girl onto his bed and forcibly defiled her after which he bolted from the room.

Frimpong was however arrested later after a tip off and during police interrogation he admitted the offence.

His plea was not taken and was remanded in police custody to re-appear on February 28.
