Kennedy Osei, Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, has called on his constituents to work hand in hand with him and the government to develop the area.
Mr Osei, who made the appeal during a thanks-giving tour of some towns in his constituency, said he is MP for the entire people but not for members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) alone.
He advised the constituents to be cooperative and develop the spirit of innovation, creativity and voluntarism to help build the constituency to its expected level.
The MP assured the people that when the need arise in putting up structures like markets, schools and other amenities he would do his best to provide materials and mobilize artisans at the various towns to join hands with him.
Mr Osei said without such initiative the area would lack development because government alone cannot provide them their desired needs within the expected period of time.
He said government considers big towns whose revenue were high and were given priority in terms of development before those with low level of proceeds and that he would keep on lobbying government for the provision of electricity, construction of roads and other amenities.
The chiefs and the people of the various towns that the MP visited like Akim Apoli, Akim Ewisa, Oforikrom among others, assured him of their support in his endeavours.
