Taskforce fines four truck drivers

The Head of the Security Taskforce of the Sekondi -Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), Mr. Samuel Cromwell, on Monday cautioned truck drivers to stop off-loading luggage at unauthorized places.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Sekondi, Mr. Cromwell said that four truck drivers were fined GHc200 each for off- loading at the Central Business District of Takoradi.

He mentioned the defaulting drivers as Kwame Frehue, Kojo Oppong, Alhaji Abrahim and one Emmanuel.

Mr Cromwell warned that vehicles weighing more than three tons should not enter the Central Business area of Takoradi since they would disrupt human and vehicular movement.

He advised truck drivers to abide by the Assembly’s bye-laws to avoid sanctions.
