Suspected pedophile arrested

A suspected pedophile who disguised himself as a football coach training young boys to be professional footballers has been arrested by the Techiman police.

The man named Issah Mohammed had gone unpunished for a long time because his victims failed to disclose his activities.

He was arrested on Thursday after allegedly sodomising a 14-year-old-boy who was staying with him at his family residence in Techiman.

Issah Mohammed, who is not married, recruits the boys from their families in the villages in the Brong Ahafo region with the promise of training them and getting them into football academies in the city.

He reportedly capitalised on the ignorance of the young innocent boys and raped them and because the boys lacked the courage to report him.

One of his victims, who was raped on several occasions, has been left paralysed and is at the Techiman Police family hospital undergoing treatment.

Musa Mohammed is currently in police custody pending investigations. The Techiman police have however remained tight-lipped on the issue.
