Be determined and don’t give up – Dr. Daanaa advises

Minister designate for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs has urged the youth and the physically challenged to be determined and not give up no matter the circumstances they find themselves in.

Answering questions before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Friday, Dr. Henry Seidu Daanaa asked the physically challenged to look up to him and analyze what he has achieved despite his impairment.

He added that one’s disability should not prevent him from achieving what he or she aims to achieve in life.

Dr. Daanaa whose nomination was opposed by some Chiefs in the country because their custom prevents them from dealing with people with disability, also stated that he will take up the duty of initiating a training programme for the staff at the national and regional house of Chiefs.

He also promised to put in place measures to solve chieftaincy disputes when he assumes office.

If approved by Parliament, he will be the first visually impaired minister Ghana has ever had.
