Abuga Pele Lauds Prez. Mahama

For “three wise men” appointment lauded.

The Member of Parliament for Chiana Paga Constituency Hon. Abuga Pele has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for what he termed “the appointment of the three most experienced personalities in the NDC”.

Speaking in an interview with this reporter, Hon. Pele stated that despite the various negative comments by the NPP and quite a few persons whose line of thoughts is traced to the same party seeking to deliberately shift focus from the fact that President Mahama is keen on achieving the promises he made to Ghanaians, his efforts has come to light and those who want to see where the nation is heading to can see the next four years from now.

According to him, Alban Bagbin, E T Mensah and Cletus Avorka are persons whose experience would ensure the smooth implementation of the biggest infrastructural projects to hit the country in the history of the Fourth Republic.

“Due to the enormity of the task, the president was obliged to go for the very best material the nation has to offer and with Alban Bagbin, E T Mensah and Cletus Avorka, it does no come any better than that.

“These are persons who have seen it all and would not be overwhelmed by the mammoth nature of the project”.

The Presidential Priority Project (PPP) constitutes divers infrastructures President Mahama promised Ghanaians during the round up to the 2012 general elections.

These projects include the construction of 200 senior high schools, 10 teacher training colleges, 1 university for the Eastern Region, Regional and Specialist Hospitals, Regional Airports and one International Airport.

To Hon. Pele, the president knowing the size of the task and aware of the need to fulfill his promises opted for the very best the country can offer.

The former He further quashed the argument that the project could have been left in the hand s of their respect sector ministries citing former President Kufour’s Presidential Special Initiatives as an example even though he was quick to add that the former’s did not yield remarkable dividends.

“During President Kufours time, there was a secretariat to oversee the construction of Jubilee parks, Presidential lodges, toilets across the country, major roads, greening Ghana.” “How green was Ghana when the NPP left office?” he quizzed.

He added that unlike President Kufour whose special initiatives failed because he entrusted them in the hands of inexperienced person, President Mahama is counting on his best men to achieve his goals.

He called on Ghanaians to rally behind the President and give him all the support he needs to achieve the goals set forth and also make the country much better than it is now.
