NADMO Coordinator appeals for financial assistance to anti-bushfire committees

Mr Evans Osei-Worae, Nkoranza South Municipal National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Coordinator, has called on the Brong-Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council to arrange financial support towards the activities of Anti-Bushfire Committees in the Region to enable them control bushfires effectively in the communities.

He made the call when contributing to deliberations at an assembly meeting convened by Mr Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo, Acting Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister at Nkoranza.

The meeting was to interact with the management to know the plans for the year having oversight responsibility of the Assembly following the election of Mr Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive as Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South Constituency.

Mr Nyamekye-Marfo commended Mr Agyekum for his hard work and efforts in undertaking many development projects in the communities within the four years he served the area.

He congratulated the management of the Assembly and the staff for supporting and encouraging Mr Agyekum in the discharge of his duties, which enabled him to chalk successes for the Municipality.

“There is no wonder, Mr Agyekum won the Parliamentary seat in Nkoranza South Constituency as the people appreciated his good works and rewarded him with their votes,” Mr Nyamekye-Marfo added.

He announced that Nkoranza South Municipal Assembly was the best in Brong-Ahafo Region in terms of development projects during the past four years and attributed the outcome to the effective leadership role and efforts of Mr Agyekum.

Mr Nyamekye-Marfo called for the collaborative efforts of the staff in order that together they would help move the assembly forward.

Mr Raymond Gbedoah, Nkoranza South Municipal Coordinating Director, expressed appreciation to Mr Nyamekye-Marfo for the visit to share ideas with them towards the effective running of the Assembly.

He gave the assurance that management of the Assembly would ensure that the administration operated smoothly as expected and would not delay in calling on him for advice on challenges facing the Assembly.
