Four suspected armed robbers arrested at Kasoa

The Police at Kasoa have in two separate operations arrested four suspected robbers.

They are Seth K. Baiden, 27, Christopher Tetteh, a 24-year-old taxi driver, Kobina Apenteng, 27, unemployment, and Joseph Amagble 28, an ex-convict.

The Kasoa District Crime Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Moses Naa-Kolgo Agbegne, confirmed the story to the GNA at the weekend.

He said on 24 January, 2013, at about 0400 hours, the police received a tip off that Tetteh, Apenteng and Amagble have stolen a quantity of Iron rods at Oboom, a suburb of Kasoa, and were loading them into a vehicle.

ASP Agbegne said police patrol team rushed to the scene and apprehend the three persons with the taxi being used for robbery.

ASP Agbegne said in a related development, Baiden, suspected to be a notorious robber, was also arrested at his hideout upon a tip-off at C.P, a suburb of Kasoa.

According to the Crime Officer, during an identification parade conducted at the Kasoa Police Station, some inhabitant of Kasoa identified Baiden as one of the robbers who had attacked them.

He appealed to the general public to volunteer information about criminals to the police to promote law and order.
