UDS student escapes death narrowly after being shot by a farmer

Twenty-eight-year-old Kingsley Nkrumah, a student of the University of Development Studies, is on admission in hospital following injuries he received when a farmer shot him in both thighs.

Police said the suspect Thomas Henapong, 56, mistook Nkrumah for a man who allegedly assaulted his wife, Mary Agyepomaa, in their house on January 13 and opened fire on him.

Police said Henapong was chasing one Micheal Agyekum when he bumped into Nkrumah and mistook him to be Agyekum and shot him on both thighs with a single barrelled gun injuring him severely.

Henapong bolted into the bush after detecting that he had shot the wrong person.

Mary Agyepomaa is assisting the police in their investigations to trace both Henapong and Agyekum.
